I have developed an outstanding research track record over a sustained period through my research activities, publications, scholarship, and external engagement, and I am internationally recognised as a leader in my field. I have always invested my efforts in generating publications that are internationally outstanding, displaying a very high level of originality, significance and rigour, innovative and potentially agenda-setting, and to be an essential point of reference for work in its field.  My publications include 174 journal articles, 13 edited books, 100 peer-reviewed book chapters, 127 research reports, 30 policy briefs, 435 reviewed conference papers, and 39 edited international conference proceedings, 118 research reports and guidebooks, and 36 policy and briefing papers, I have received several awards for my publications, including being the Winner of the H.E. the President of Sri Lanka Award for 2014 Scientific Publication. I have sustained a high impact from my publications with over  16,000 Google Scholar citations one of the highest in the built environment field.
